US cotton rewrites Bangladesh’s apparel sourcing playbook

Bangladesh Bank has raised the cash incentive for exporters using local yarn and fabric to 5 per cent in FY27, from 1.5 per cent.
A draft import policy lifts value addition to 30 per cent for most clothing, with incentives and duty-free inputs at stake.
US zero-tariff volumes depend on US cotton and man-made fibre use, while 16.5 per cent base duty and a 10 per cent forced-labour tariff remain.
