Global manufacturing grows 3.1% as apparel exports fall 2.6%

UNIDO data show global manufacturing rose 3.1 per cent in Q1 2026, while apparel output fell nearly 3 per cent and ranked second weakest.
TexPro says selected apparel exports from nine economies dropped $1.16 billion to $44.30 billion, with non-knitted garments driving 82 per cent of the loss.
