Morocco exported $3.94 billion of apparel in 2025 but imported $4.36 billion of yarn and fabric, exposing a structural upstream gap despite a strong garment surplus.
Heavy reliance on imported materials and CMT manufacturing limits value capture.
Future competitiveness will depend on integrated production, traceability, recycled materials and full-package manufacturing.
