Germany’s Adidas appoints Birgit Kretschmer as next CFO

adidas has appointed Birgit Kretschmer to its Executive Board from September 1, 2026, to succeed Harm Ohlmeyer as chief financial officer (CFO) at year-end after he opted not to extend his mandate.
Kretschmer returns with 25 years at adidas and six as C&A’s CFO, giving the sportswear group finance, vertical retail and operational control experience as Ohlmeyer supports the transition.
