Canada’s apparel imports fall 6.9%, exports also down in Jan-May

Canada’s apparel imports fell 6.9 per cent in January-May 2026, led by a 16 per cent drop from China.
Vietnam bucked the trend, gaining share and nearly catching Bangladesh as the second-largest supplier.
Canada’s clothing exports also fell 2.5 per cent as US shipments plunged 17.7 per cent, while exports to China surged nearly 180 per cent.
