5 apparel hubs gain 5.7% as China, Türkiye lose $8.4 bn

India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt and Morocco raised HS 61-62 apparel exports by 5.7 per cent to $41.68 billion in 2025, while China and Türkiye lost about $8.4 billion.
UNCTAD says announced greenfield projects in textiles, clothing and leather fell 35 per cent as global textile capacity utilisation was 71 per cent.
The next phase of diversification depends on capital following orders.
