Jordan cabinet extends RMG sector’s ‘Better Work’ programme for 3 yrs

Jordan has extended government funding for the Better Work programme for three years and raised its allocation to $7 million from $1.55 million.
The decision is expected to boost the garment industry’s competitiveness.
It comes at a time when labour standards, transparency and sustainability increasingly influence sourcing and investment decisions of buyers, the Jordan Chamber of Industry said.
